Eravikulam National Park (Munnar)

The most sought after destination in Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park, the first of its kind in Kerala, where the endangered Nilgiri Thar Spread over 97 square kilometers, this park has the largest viable population of Tahr, rare animals, birds and many other species of butterflies. Park also offers a spectacular view of the tea gardens and rolling hills brought by the blanket.

The park becomes a hot destination, when the mountain slope is covered with a blue carpet, resulting in the production of Neelakurinji flower. It is a plant for this part of the Western Ghats that blows once in twelve years.
